Before your appointment
Stop retinol and exfoliating acids five days before, avoid waxing and tanning, and arrive with clean, makeup-free skin if you can.
In the chair
After cleansing, the peel is brushed on in thin layers. You’ll feel warmth and tingling for a few minutes, and a cooling fan helps. We then neutralise the peel and finish with moisturiser and SPF.
Day by day
Days one and two: skin feels tight and may look slightly pink. Days three to five: light flaking starts, usually around the mouth and nose. By day seven, peeling finishes and brighter skin comes through.
Resist the urge to pick. Letting skin shed on its own schedule is what gives you an even result.
When to book the next one
Most concerns respond best to a course of three to six peels, spaced about four weeks apart.
